The Bands - 2012

Corey Stevens

Corey Stevens is a guy who likes to consider all the angles. Although his earliest influences were early rock and rollers like Chuck Berry, comics who played with words to make people laugh had a huge impact on him. When the British Invasion swept Stevens away like millions of others, the words moved him as much as the music. It may be for this reason that Stevens aspired to be a songwriter and not just another guitar player.

The Queen of The Stomp Ms. Cassie Taylor and The Soul Cavalry

Cassie Taylor hails from Colorado, where she was born and raised. Combining a compelling mix of music, theater, fashion and modeling into her repertoire, Cassie is an ambassador of blending the arts. Cassie is the daughter of renowned bluesman Otis Taylor and toured in his band for seven years as bassist and backup vocalist. She takes her passion for the blues seriously by serving on the board of directors of The Blues Foundation. Staking a claim as a musician in her own right, her songwriting is a new kind of blues which explores the trials and tribulations of a twenty-something woman.

Earl and Them

Hailing from the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, with more than a combined 200 years of playing experience, Earl and Thtem bring an electricity to the stage that is grounded by a rich history and lasting tradition in the blues.

The Mojo Roots

If you think there's nothing new and exciting coming out of the blues genre, you haven't heard The Mojo Roots. Their brand of harp-driven, soul-soaked blues is nothing short of electrifying, shifting effortlessly from a driving, hard-hitting shuffle to an aching, tear-dripping slow blues. Having shared the stage with artists such as Jimmie Vaughan, Roomful of Blues, and John Lee Hooker Jr., The Mojo Roots are captivating audiences all across the Midwest.

Steve Smith and the Sneakers

Steve Smith and The Sneakers serve up a spicy mix of blues and blues-rock that includes flavors from the Mississippi Delta, gumbo rhythms of Bourbon Street, Memphis soul/blues grooves and rockin Chicago and Texas Blues. The band features Steve Smith's powerful vocals, colorful keyboards and Dave Painter's superb guitar work. The band delivers a powerful performance guaranteed to get you "Sneakified."

Our latest CD, “Hoodoo Man” has just been released on Lost Loon Boy Records. You can hear it on our website as well as some live cuts of the band.
