"It is our responsibility personally to help those in need; each of us has one of these to offer others: Time, Treasure or Talent. Take a different view and attitude toward those who are not as lucky as we are.” -- Jim Payne

"“People ask all the time how Paige and I started Stomp The Blues Out Of Homelessness and this was a strong impetus – while conducting our weekly Thursday meal at Bill’s Place, formerly a homeless drop in day center on Commercial St., a young good looking man was waiting patiently in line as we gave out the plates of food, as he got to the serving table we spoke about how he got here and his wellbeing, he stated that he just got out of the Marine Corps and had nowhere to go or direction for help or assistance. This burned in Paige’s and my heart to think that our young men who have served our country had to show up and beg for food. Paige’s father Wilson McClendon was a Marine and tank commander in Iwo Jima, and we know the tragedies of war through his eyes. After this meal we went home and began the process of starting what is now Stomp The Blues Out of Homelessness.” --Jim Payne
